Cassandra Wilson, Harvard's Jazz Master in Residence, sat down for an interview with Thomas Elliott, WHRB's JazzDepartment co-director on Thursday, April 6. The interview begins with a discussion on why she came to Harvard, how she got into singing, and her discography. Following a selection from the album New Moon Daughter, their discussion moves to Ms. Wilson's role within the music community and her musical influences. Next, after some songs off of Belly of the Sun, Ms. Wilson and Thomas talk briefly about her upcoming concert on April 8 at 8pm at Sanders Theater.
